Pregnant #fitfashion
New life. It’s an incredible and beautiful thing. But blossoming with pregnancy can be sometimes trying and tiring! It is a time when a woman should really focus on herself, as before long the focus is firmly on the new little life.
Being active and pregnant is highly recommended and it feels SO much better to be healthy during pregnancy. I have really enjoyed yoga, walking and swimming during my pregnancies. It is equally important to feel as beautiful as you are at this time. I love dressing the ‘bump’. Women often ask if I am wearing ‘maternity’ activewear, but I go for regular activewear (just in a larger size!). Activewear is all about layering at the moment, with comfy and supportive crops and loose tanks – dressing this way has been a pleasure! Here are a few ideas on how activewear and workouts can help during your own pregnancy.

Walking while pregnant will keep you flexible and help prevent tight muscles – I have been rocking my pineapple print L’URV leggings daily. For some reason it makes it easier just to get out and go for a walk! I think the bright and colourful (and comfy) spandex motivates me to exercise and be healthy.
Sally wears: XAHARA ACTIVE Effortless Tank - Spearmint and DS FLEX Montana Tights.
Yoga - I have enjoyed ‘flexing’ my style muscles in prenatal yoga class – our class is full of bold prints and stretchy tanks. Yoga improves balance and loosens overworked muscles to hep feel relaxed and strong. But it is all about focussing on the adorable baby bumps while we connect with baby through our practice.
Swimming just takes all the weight off - every part of my body. I also walk lengths in the pool, do lunges and end by simply floating and breathing. It is so calming. Seafolly’s new range of high neck tanks are great for holding everything in place. I’ve even taken to wearing these high neck tanks under my prenatal dresses – they are comfy, modest and with no underwire or halter-neck you can wear them all day.
Sally wears: SEAFOLLY Deja Blue High Neck Tank under SEAFOLLY Field Day Out Maxi.Staying active during pregnancy is super important, both for yourself and the baby and in preparing for birth. There are so many pregnant #fitfashion options to keep you looking amazing, and feeling motivated AND so comfortable – you might even find yourself and your bump in your activewear at lunch with the girls!
