5 Easy Immunity Boosters

We know generally how to 'look after ourselves' but sometimes life gets in the way and we forget.  Good habits help. We have distilled just 5 simple immunity boosters that you can action on a daily basis and make part of your life with minimal effort.
Keeping our immune system up has always been a priority but especially now in times like this. A healthy and strong immune system allows our bodies to fight off infections and to have a stronger defence. These are our 5 simple actionable steps to boost immunity.
While it's important to have enough hours of sleep, the quality of sleep is just as important. Relaxing your mind before bed can help with a restful sleep. Try putting your phone away and listening to calm music or reading (from an actual book) before bed. We love turning on our essential oil diffusers with a few drops of lavender too!
We're constantly told that fats = bad. But that is not true! Healthy fats can reduce inflammation in the body and help your body fight off harmful disease causing bacteria or viruses. Try incorporating more olive oil, avocado and salmon in your diet. Almonds and walnuts are also an excellent snack option!
This will help your digestive tract be populated with good bacteria! These good bacteria are what helps your immune cells differentiate your healthy cells and those harmful ones! Not a fan of taking pills? Add fermented foods like kimchi or yogurt into your daily diet. We love to treat ourselves with a bowl of greek yogurt and berries for breakfast!
At least 8 glasses of water in a day! Dehydration is the cause of so many health issues in our bodies from headaches to a weak digestion and immune system. Not a fan of plain water? Try adding a slice of lemon or start sipping on herbal teas! Keep a bottle on your work desk to remind you.
Whether it's a session at your fave gym, getting on the mat in your living room to stretch or taking a walk in the park - GET MOVING. Studies have found that regular exercise can help your immune cells regenerate! Plus exercise stimulates the release of endorphins and dopamine which act as an important regulator of immune function.
